An elemental yoga flow with breathwork & meditation to finish.
Routine
Mandala yoga, is a practice that works towards a firm intention and established on the four elements that bring connection between you and each of the Elements in the Universe – Earth, Water, Fire and Air. Each of these elements have their corresponding Chakra and group of muscles: *Air– quads and backbends. Energetically activating Anahata Chakra, related with our social identity and self-love, finding space in our hearts. *Fire– glutes and IT bands accessing through twists. Energetically activating Manipura Chakra, our solar plexus, related with our will power and ego identity. *Water– groin and hips. Energetically activating Svadhisthana, the Sacral Chakra, our source of movement and connection, related with our reproductive system. *Earth– hamstrings and forward folds. Energetically activating Muladhara, the Root Chakra, related with grounding and safety.
During a Mandala class, you will be integrating the spiral patterns of nature, as there is never perfection nor straight lines in nature. You’ll explore circular movements with your body, moving around all four corners of the mat in 360 degrees. We will finish the session with a gentle breathwork and meditation to embody the practice further.
