What you will be doing
Come together to unwind and counteract the negative effects of sitting at a desk during the workweek. Classes incorporate:
- Breathing exercises (pranayama) to target stress
- Poses specifically for back, neck and shoulder health to counteract the negative effects of sitting at a desk, such as posture and aches
- Dynamic movement that builds both strength and flexibility, particularly in the glutes and hips which become weak and stiff, respectively from sitting
- Themes that encourage mindfulness, positivity and relaxation
We find rhythm without moving too quickly through poses to really build strength and refine form. You will have options throughout the class to cater to your level and the degree of challenge you’re looking for in your practice.
A well-rounded class, always beginning and ending with a short breathing meditation. Warm up, Sun Salutations and a variety of standing and seated poses, strung together by themes evolving over the course of each month and season. Crafted to give you the perfect counterbalance to sitting inside all day at work!
